At the Annual General Meeting 2025 (AGM) for Staveley Community Trust we agreed to actively explore relationships with Staveley with Ings Together (SWIT) with a view to a merger. This provides charitable status to SWIT and a purpose to Staveley Community Trust that is consistent with its values and objects.
Having consulted with co-ordinators of the projects, the Trustees of SCT and the Co-ordinators of Staveley with Ings Together, it was agreed that SCT (The Charitable Benefit Society) and Staveley with Ings Together would merge. The objects of the SCT will be reviewed in the light of the aims of SWIT as outlined in the Constitution.
At the AGM of SCT on 13 August 2026 it was agreed that the SCT and SWIT will merge. Click here for the minutes of the meeting.
Staveley Community Trust (SCT) was set up to develop the New Abbey on behalf of the community. It is now merged with Staveley with Ings Together to deliver for our community.
